A New Love

The Shop is a great garage in Brooklyn. In the back they use to have a mechanic shop , were every think came alive, where magic was happening. I loved to spend hours there, with the boys.
One day I stop by at The Shop, a day like any other day and one of the guy ask me if i was interested to buy a bike. Well Is like asking a kid if he would like to get an other ice cream.... The bike was a beautiful 2006 Ducati 749 Dark. The price was great and with out even thinking I bought it just as an investment to see if i could flip it and make some cash. I promise my self I was not going to ride it, was just an investment....
Few months went by and no one was interested in the bike, was to late in the season to sell it. One evening I was at the garage talking to some of the guy and one of them asked me if I was Interested to go with him to the race track.
I accepted and I brought with me both bikes, thinking that I will put a sale sign on the Ducati and see if I could sale it.

At the track everyone was sirius. All the rider were so in to it. I was so impressed from the organization and the safety that was displaced. The rider meeting started the day. Everyone was paying attention to the information was given to us.

The rider were divided in tree group based on they skill level and send out on the track with control rider.
For me was the first time on the track and I had a lot of think to learn at once. I went out with the KTM Duke as the Ducati was seating near the Tech garage with a for sale sign on it.

When you watch a race in TV it looks so simple to move from left to right , to scape your knee on the floor to keep you race line, to give throttle and to brake ... sorry was not easy at all for me at all . The first session i look like i was going backwards. All my fears that i thought went over they came back to me in a hart beat. I froze again. I could not move. It took me 4 session out of 5 to get comfortable, (I sad comfortable not fast...) I still did not relax I was stiff but I saw some progression from the morning and i was happy.
Ride with in your limit and keep you tires on the road a control rider told me ...

I was happy on the track with the Duke, but as I was the only one with a supermoto bike on the track and at the last session of the day I did was i was not supposed to do... I broke my promise. I took the Ducati out , just to test it out... to see the difference between a supermoto and a race bike..... 20 minutes later I came back to the pit and I was not alone... I got in love with the bike... I got expired and I knew one think for sure: I was not gong to sale the bike anymore.

How it all Happened!!

I been thinking to blog for the past two years but I really did not know what to blog about. Every one is blogging and I felt I was out of the picture.... But finally I have something to blog about and I would love to share it with every one out there.

I use to ride Motorcycle until the age of 22, but unfortunately something happened to me and I could not ride anymore. I had a big accident riding on the street and was out of commission for several years. I was scared to ride again and I just deiced to wait and wait and I knew the desire will come back to me soon or later; and last year It finally happened. I got a used Motorcycle.
I bought a 2002 KTM Duke 640cc Orange . In good shape but need some TLC. I gave it some love and invested some money and the bike got back to life and more.... Nice!!!
For all last year little by little I start to get use to the bike and the feeling of speed and I have to admitted took a wile before I could get use to it. My biggest fear were the bridges, I really was scared and use to froze.
After few months in the streets of New York I was getting back in shape and I start to look arond for biker to go out to ride together.

I was looking to get the inspection on my bike when I stop at a garage in Brooklyn , NY: The Shop. This is how it all started....
